A Musical Story of a Community Standing Against Hate
Originally produced at Passage Theatre in Trenton, New Jersey, Nightlights was inspired by the true story of how residents of Billings, Montana, came together in the 1990s to confront acts of hatred and intimidation directed at Jewish families and other members of their community.
Through its songs, Nightlights tells a story of people of different backgrounds and faiths refusing to remain silent—and discovering the power of a community standing together.
The Songs of Nightlights
Although Nightlights is no longer available for theatrical production, Neil Fishman and Harvey Edelman retain the rights to their original music and lyrics.
Songs from the musical, including “Night of Broken Glass,” “Disappear,” “More Than a Miracle” and “Nightlight,” continue to be available as recordings and have a life independent of the original stage production.
